What happens at shutdown is that all processes are sent SIGTERM, so that
they have a chance to intercept, save their state/clean up, etc. After a
timeout (default 90s) SIGKILL is sent. So it seems linconnect_server.py

A fix to this was supplied in openSUSE Tumbleweed via the
KDE:Frameworks5 repo. Unfortunately, it had to be withdrawn. Very
disappointing for me as I'd had a week working happily with the "fixed"
P5 without seeing any problems that weren't there before. Now I've had

Despite nobody here really cares about those flags you're of course absolutely
right:
If, as you pointed out, the "whole session management" is broken, it really
doesn't matter whether KWin restores the window attributes in this
disfunctional enviro
