I was able to reproduce this in image 235 in mako, utopic.
Note that you might be unaware of the crash due to upstart respawning
ofono. Please take a look to ofono pid before and after testing this, or

When I type Chinese with fcitx-rime, once in a while I will have to
restart this program by left clicking the Rime symbol on the bottom
panel bar and selecting restart. As a result the entire computer will
freeze. I can't type text, switch input methods nor windows, not even
confirming same issue, only thing that made it so bad was creating a
autoban script for repeat offenders, in any event this is obviously a
huge bug, just 'sudo rm -rf ~/.cache/upstart' and will baby sit this bad
