with 6G, but the Ubuntu Desktop installer requires 7.1G of space. You

I'm affected by this. System settings > Time & Date > Clock options are
available and seem to function normally. I've tried the following
solutions; none have restored my clock to the unity panel.

After using the r8192ee driver in the 3.16 kernel, I found SSH sessions to
be extremely unreliable.
Web browsing was tolerable but slow and required occasional retries.
I've now purchased a WiFi USB dongle and will test the r8192ee driver as
new 3.16 kernels are released for utopic.

It doesn't happen with Intel 3495 abg (wlan0) when 802.11n is turned off
but will happen if 802.11n is active for other wifi adapters. It
happens with RTL2800 bgn (wlan1), BCM43526 ac+gn (wlan2), Intel Centrino
6235 bgn (wlan3) and now with RTL 3072 bgn (wlan4).

It appears this bug is fairly well known. Here's an article called "Fix

listed is only for the Intel Video card.
For what its worth, the brightness control
I am having the same problem. I upgraded frm Mythbuntu 12.04 to 14.04
with the Asus M3N78 motherboard (Nvidia 8200 graphics card &
nvidia-304-updates driver).
Using xfce4-settings from Ubuntu 13.10 (as per post #18) fixed it for
me. I have not tried using the suggestion from post #10.

Thomas, are you sure it is the same crash? The "signal 5" is fairly
generic and can be caused by different crashes as well. The only way to
tell is to look at the retrace.

I have the same problem as well, but this is on a Thinkpad T510 (about 5
years old). This is with the Nvidia graphs card and the Nvidia 331.38
driver (the Noveau driver doesn't work -- it consistently core dumps
after suspend/resume).
