Motherboard D525MWV with Intel Atom D525 worked fine in Ubuntu server
12.04, but when I installed Ubuntu server 14.04, random processes
crashed periodically with this message. I updated motherboard BIOS, but
it did not helped.

Potential workaround that seems to have worked for an 3.2.0-61.92 to
3.2.0-61.93 upgrade on precide with /boot on a FAT32 partition:
Boot into a previous kernel version, uninstall the -61.92 kernel, and
install -61.93 kernel from scratch.

lot better in Arch Linux which uses 3.14(although still suffers), but
Ubuntu with 3.13 is suffering from slow performance and a ton of Reason

Finally I also upgraded to Kubuntu 14.04, and have also still the crackles.
Since it is a very old Laptop, there are only USB 2.0 connectors, so for sure
no USB-3.0 problem...
And: running on the same laptop daphile (which is a headless player
based on Gentoo) works fine, without any problem

I guess technically we wouldn't want to make a new section for the
ptrace requirements, they would belong under the "Needed for the crash
reporter" subheading.

This is definitely not fixed, and continues to persist on every version
of Ubuntu from 12.04 to 14.04. My workaround (linked above) still works.

Same issue here as reported above, both on Xubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit live
USB and fully installed desktop, and also Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bit live
USB, running on custom MSI A55m-E33 with AMD A6 and 2x4GB DDR 1600.
Fortunately adding "radeon.dpm=0" to GRUB command line seems to have
solved the reboot
If you havn't got the "Tweak Tool" installed, you can find it in the
software center (think it's named Gnome Tweak Tool).
After it is installed, open it, and choose "Windows" in the left menu.
There you can activate maximize and minimize at the bottom.

A quick and dirty way to fix it is to just add someting along the lines
of

to our profile for firefox (/etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.firefox) and then
reload the profile (sudo apparmor_parser -r

With or without those options the VM qemu-system-ppc session never exits.

I'm running Arch but since it's an upstream issue I cant report it on
their bug tracker. Had a look in the Nvidia forums but couldn't find
the post Loris Zinsou (the-lz-himself) referred to. Anyone else know if

I hope I'm doing this correctly. For reference, it took me (both this
time and last) several tries to reproduce. The first few suspends
worked. I restarted again. After a few suspends, it started doing this
instant-wake behavior again (which it then will do consistently unless I
run that workaround
