I have an older Macbook, and when trying to use the mac 14.04 installer
the GRUB installer always fails. It doesn't matter what partition or
drive I point to, it just always fails.
But if I go back to the 12.04 (original) .iso and try to install, it installs
without any problems.

In random occasions the system is crashing! and cause a kernel panic,
maybe its the intel driver? i dont know.

Same card, same problem. No sound from the analog input port even
though the software "thinks" it is receiving data (i.e. ALSA is sending
silence).

System successfully resumed from S3, but no display at all
Steps:
1. Install 12.04.4, boot to desktop
2. Suspend this system
3. Wake it up by pressing the power button
Expected result:

Launcher
Yes there is a blinking cursor. Page up and page down works. Page up
and page down work as well as space bar to scroll the page. The second
box on the screen so if I try to type into the google search bar. It
looks like I can type into it with a blinking cursor page.
