grub2 efi faile
I managed to install 14.04 by creating a separate /boot partition. I
still got the error message that grub-efi-amd64-signed failed to
install; but opening gparted before closing the installer, I notcied the
/boot had about 150 MB on it.
The system EFI boot menu does not show any entry for 14.04, b
You appear to be mixing up bios and uefi. If you are going to use uefi,
then you need to have an efi system partition mounted in /boot/grub/efi.
If you are not going to use efi, then you have to boot the install cd in
bios mode.

Hmm, I had some issues with my receiver so I was just testing without
ac3 passthrough.
I had forgotten about setting that.
Pulseaudio shouldn't crash anyhow. This crash happened a few times
during watching a movie so I could set back to ac3 passthrough again and
check if I still get these crashes
