Looks like the boot command only solves part of the problem. Touchpad is
totally missing from "Mouse & Touchpad" settings in Unity and also it

Ok, I just now booted with bios.bin from
http://people.canonical.com/~jamie/ovmf/ that I built when first using
OVMF with quantal and have the same results as in comment #2. My
thinking is that something must have changed incompatibly with newer
kernels.

Using zoneminder 1.26.5,
installed from sources
on Debian 7 (Wheezy)
I had a lot of ERR messages in log saying some .sock files were not
found.
Not clear what king of events these messages were related to but one
thing for sure adding to /etc/zm/apache.conf the line recommended
(2013-05-06) by rs
I can confirm this bug on the same motherboard. Removing the PCI video
card allows the system to boot.
Note: I have tested this with
- The official i386 lubuntu 13.04 disk
- A custom debian boot disk (that I use for troubleshooting)
I can perform further testing on request as the machine is curre

Hmmm, in an effort to get a working secure boot install with ovmf, I install
with 13.10 ovmf, shutdown, booted with 14.04 ovmf and did various upgrades,
etc, then shutdown. Then I boot with 13.10 ovmf and ran:
$ sudo grub-install --uefi-secure-boot
which succeeded. Then I rebooted with 13.10 ovm
