I am experiencing this in an up to date 12.10 64-bit as well. This bug
is also going on 3 and a half years old. Seems like after attempting to
mark invalid and pass the buck over to another project, this bug got
largely ignored. Who do we need to throw money at to get this looked

@Christopher M Penalver - hi, I've been trying out the latest daily
Raring 13.04 build with the Nouveau driver. As with all five previous
versions of Ubuntu I've had installed on this machine, it makes my
system rather unstable (using NVidia GT215/GT240 graphics card btw)
resulting in hard reboots
This is a huge problem on a laptop with this trackpad. A response would
be appreciated!
