package: psmouse-alps-dst-0.4.tbz , works perfectly, here are
installation instructions:
Extract psmouse-alps-dst-0.4 in /usr/src/ with sudo rights.
If you have installed the module before, I suggest you to completely remove it

I had much the same thing a while back, and a co-worker suggested I
update the firmware on my Crucial M4 SSD drive, and I've not had a
problem since.

I also have this bug but as a noobie I am completely lost as how to fix
it. Is there any chance of further information or a run through of how
to apply the fix? I tried changing the ubuntu-2d to ubuntu with no

I am seeing this behavior also. The computer is an Asus N56VJ laptop
and it happens sometimes when I touch the large pad in multiple places..
I hit the left windows key twice and it goes away.

The X is screwed up, incorrect display on the screen. There are four
large stripes and nothing recognizable when the DM is launched. However

weather_12.07.30-0ubuntu1_all_patched.deb" fixes all bugs for me on
Precise 64bit. Forecast is set to Yahoo! and works (2 days). Also, I can
add new locations.
When will this version find its way into the regular Ubuntu updates for
Precise?
