I managed to manually find some bug reports attributed to suspend resume
that never got uploaded because chrome subsequently *also* crashed.
Catch 22!

I am having similar issues on Xubuntu 12.10. Everything worked perfectly
on earlier versions of Xubuntu. Now, no matter what I do, xscreensaver
will not allow the monitor to power off. In fact, if I run
"xflock4;;xset dpms force off" the monitor powers off, and gets woken

dmesgcommand

lsusbcommand
after having plugged the flash disk in.
My guess is this is actually a different problem than the sandisk one but
similar symptoms.

Mint 14 (OEM Cinnamon release) AMD64.
It too seems to happen while Firefox and/or LibreOffice is open

On uodating the kernel from 3.2.0.29 to any later version (3.2.0.30) and
