During startup of (eg) gnome3 or (ew) unity, the system locks up hard.
'classic' mode on gnome3 works though. (unity still unusable, but I'm
not sure it ever could be on this system)
Probably cause:
ION2 chipset - is Intel + nVidia chipset, the nVidia is not suppo
I'm not sure what LightDM issue you're referring to, but I do believe
similar issues with gnome-settings-daemon dying at any time will cause a
loss of the theme.
However I have tried to be careful to distinguish between different error codes

I just remembered, the same fixed for 12.04 alpha was the same as the
11.10 alpha: uncheck the 3rd party software and install updates check
boxes. The installs completes with no issues.

can cause troubles with tools around ii like pcw, which will create 'in' as
a regular file.
The commit fixing this was 83:432e7812270f. It should be backported to
lucid..natty.

Apple USB Ethernet fails when wake

I'm running Oneiric (11.10) on a MacBookAir3,1 with Apple's USB Ethernet
Adapter (A1277).
Problem is that when I start up the computer it doesn't work -
unplugging and replugging fixes it. A few days ago I tracked this down
to the /usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/disable_wol script

The CUPS job page after I did a test print kept refreshing showing the
job in processing (and never finished processing) with an message about
the CMS being missing and giving the path it was looking for. After I
installed the CMS files and did another job I did manage to get
