I think another big problem is, trying to minimize a maximized window while
another unmaximzed window has the focus.
This case occurs very often and makes the workflow much slower in Ubuntu than
in Windows o
Can confirm that this bug is NOT present in 11.10 oneiric LiveCD.
I figured out some way to work around the original bug in Natty LiveCD,
involving turning off TV out interface and configure monitor via cli.
Unfortunately I didn't document the exact process.

Hmm, have you tried other types of media that should be affected by the
options under the "Removable Media" configuration? For instance, a
digital camera? Or a different media player? Audio CDs? And what sort of
icon shows up in the sidebar? Just a USB key icon? Or something else?

another note, I do have a problem when undocking with a locked screen,

Strange. Fix released and it crashes for me hitting ENTER at the login
prompt (running 11.10)
I added vt=7 to /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf as below

I tried to install the patch. I added the repositories. I even thought
to add the signature key (I think it's called) under 'Authentication' in
Software Sources, but I still can't install when I try Software Update
(although all the parts of the patch appear - about 10 or so of them)

I was able to test the latest kernel that was built for i386, which was
on Oct 26:
3.1.0-999-generic #201110260408 SMP Wed Oct 26 08:16:44 UTC 2011 i686
i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Any more recent builds in that mainline directory were only there for
amd64.
The bug still exists in the ab
The package is on hold for some reason. Try running this:
sudo apt-get install mountall
Then run:
dpkg -s mountall
And just paste the "Status" part of the output.

This is a bug in aptitude, not in libjpeg8. The aptitude in Ubuntu
11.10 doesn't handle multiarch packages correctly, and you have
multiarch packages installed for flashplugin support. As a workaround,
you should use 'apt-get install libjpeg8-dev'.
