The German translation for ‘US Dollar’ in gcalctool is ‘Amerikanischer
Dollar’. This is not only uncommon, but also ignores all the other
American Dollars out there.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10
Package: gcalctool 6.2.0-0ubuntu1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.
Ran into this when updating to 11.10, I suspect that an incomplete
transition from /var/run to /run lead to it.
Anyway, purging the package was the cleanest fix.
