It might be worth refactoring in the future, though, yes, as it's
certainly true that ubiquity.keyboard_names is an enormous data
structure to have to keep in memory. I don't think this bug should
block on that though.

Originally the headphones worked for both input and output.
Then there were problems switching between the speakers and the headphones. The
headphones would not work. But a re-boot would normally fix the problem.
Now the input works but the output doesn't.
