It only works on non-ARM because they use getcontext() by default. If
picking the setjmp/longjmp mechanism, x86 has the same behaviour as

I agree with Nikhil, this is not a duplicate. I get the same issue
running an Ubuntu 10.10 Virtualbox under Windows 7 and mounting a
virtualbox share. Basically makes running Ubuntu in a Virtualbox
useless.

I've reverted this patch from nvidia-settings, since it appears to be causing a
regression (bug #692677).
It sounds like this is a worthwhile patch though, and I'm reopening the bug so

unscrewing everything and unplugging the battery - just reset the BIOS

I am having this problem but if I enter my password for about 6 or 7
attempts, the mail finally starts to come through. It finishes
receiving some mail, the password box pops up again and the whole
process restarts.. enter password 6 times or more before more mail is

I had the same problem of no sound (gateway laptop- digital stereo (IEC
958) output+Analog stereo input). After "dinking" around for a day, this
is my fix:
Click on sound preferences (speaker icon)
Hardware tab- Profile: choose from drop down list- Analog Stereo Output
Output tab - Connector: ch
