Today found sound!
With you deb it works. But every time I start I have to tune up volume by
alsamixer option -> Speaker.
After reboot its again by 0%(no Sound).
Could not find a way without alsamixer to bring sound to work, without
tuning speaker option.
What can I do?

On Maverick the same error occurs.
It is however to do with the message before the one about the PID,
complaining of the missing SSL certificate needed to run stunnel.

look at bug 640240, its quite the same symptoms with maverick. I'm
wondering about applets config to be blamed: old settings left behind,
or conflicts with other distro (Lucid/Maverick) as they share the same
/home. I've removed/purged then reinstalled several times gnome-panel,
gnome-se
After following the suggested fix for Bug 23251, gsynaptics refuses to
start with a message about SHMConfig (it does solve that particular
issue though). The touchpad tab also disappeared from gnome-mouse-
properties. This is what I would expect before the fix if gsynaptics is
not going to work/spe
apport seems to have spammed excessively :S
I'm rather surprised to find that after removing the modprobe
configuration file and reloading the module again I have both working
tap and drag and working scroll/touchpad settings. I'll have to see if
it survives a reboot.

For me, Xorg.0.log reports AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint, using synaptics
driver, although psmouse is the kernel module. The suggested fix also
works for me after

I wonder if this is a concurrency issue of some sort, eg. xfsettingsd
being loaded too early? This would at least explain why the (slow

Mike - that's odd. I haven't had any negative changes in audio/video
playback between Lucid and Maverick. I did a clean install though.
Maybe it's related to the upgrade process. Can you test with the
Maverick Live CD?

Before installing Ubuntu 9.04, K3B runs very fine. But now - from Ubuntu 9.04
and Ubuntu 9.10, it impossible to write multi-cessions DVD+R.
