I think it does not a kernel bug or an issue. It just doesn't have the read
permission for "sysctl" to read the data from it.
As you can see in the "/proc/sys" directory, not all the files are readable,

I get consistent suspend crashes with this same setup whenever I'm using

Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can

Yes, I'm still having this issue on Lucid 64-bit. After booting on
battery power the Gnome indicator claims my battery is charged and
connected to AC power. I can access the correct charge level by opening
the power statistics window, or by plugging and unplugging the AC
adapter.

Umm, actually it doesn't burn stuff on Windows any more either... Same error.
Bug can be closed I guess. Sry.
One note though is that every burner I tried other than Brasero reported "Power
Calibration Failure" and not just "Unknown Error". Descriptive error reporting
never hurt anyone.

It actually FTB on maverick pbuilder so I applied the patch to fix FTB

I have also checked with the recent update, 0017.0525.2010. The error
persists there as well. Currently corresponding with Roger at Realtek
who has been open so far.
