Hello. I'm also getting a beep every time I Shutdown my laptop, or when
I'm on a command line (like ctrl+alt+f2) , and I press tab or the
left/right arrow keys, I hear the same beep.
I think this is the same issue, related to the system beep. I've tried

This is still a problem in Maverick on my System. When erasing a DVD-RW,
Brasero says quickly that erasing has finished, but it takes a very long
time 'til it really has. After that, the media isn't detected any more
and don't shows on the Desktop neither I can use it to burn data on it.
