The spinning animation doesn't indicate a plymouth bug; plymouth itself
is running, it just hasn't been instructed to stop. Nor is the
ureadahead failure typically a bug (though it's a bug that the message
is displayed

When using ambiance, there is a reddish border around the password entry
area on authentication dialogs (update-manager for example). This border
has a different background color then the rest of the dialog and looks
out of place. The problem
I failed to mention that everything should continue to work fine on your
old kernel even after installing the 2.6.32 until you rebuild your mods
into the new kernel. Take note of the hardinfo report on both of your
kernels.
