I got the same on my desktop and also lost my gnome session, except that
the code offset reported was 0x89/0x90. This essentially destroys the
entire machine suspension concept for me as the entire session context
is lost.

I have received an update to the X server packages and have installed a
new kernel (32-15), so I thought I'd give it another shot. Installing
the drivers with Jockey and using nvidia-xconfig, OpenGL seems to be
working for now (though it may not work next reboot), and the "This

I did a fresh install of karmic which then i went straight away to
upgrading to lucid so there should be no extra packages installed onto
the system apart from the basic packages which come on the karmic/lucid
CD. When i rebooted after the upgrade had completed I was met by th
Amarok, and other KDE apps are translated upstream. To avoid duplicate and
useless work Ubuntu French translators won't fix those translations.

Ubuntu from the machine in question and tried Debian instead, and
neither the stable nor the testing builds were 100% stable on this
machine. Just as a test I replaced Debian with Windows 7. This has not

2.9.1-1ubuntu3 through 1ubuntu10 and newer are compiled without UMS
support so it's expected to fallback to vesa if you boot with nomodeset
and is not a bug. The LVDS not getting detected properly under KMS is
the main issue here as show

I also had the experience of Gnome's Visual Effects reverting to "none"

Have Toshiba A505-S6030 Laptop with Intel Core i7 processor. I have
tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of 9.10, and 10.04, and usb does not
work. USB is using Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset USB2
Enhanced Host Controller [8086:3b3c] using the ehci_hcd kernel mo
Note that this bug has been fixed upstream. The fix will be in goffice
0.8.1 (which will be released together wit gnumeric 1.10.1).

I have Alpha 3, and have slow resume which then freezes. Since I have
Ctrl-Alt-Backspace set to restart X I am able to eventually login again.
