Hi John. The problem is both lack of manpower and time! There is
myself and Robin Sonefors actively developing and we've only had
sporadic amounts of time to work on this release. I would say I only
achieved half the goals I had planned.
So any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated,

Yeah, this isn't a bug. The microphone on Bluetooth headphones is only
for taking a call when you're using them with a phone. A2DP does not
support microphones, as far as I'm aware.

No, I ended up having to reformat to fix the problem. Then it happened
again so I just upgraded to 9.04.

The overdriven sound seems to no longer be happening on Karmic or Lucid.
Though I'm puzzled since according to my notes, I did see this in Karmic
previously, and I don't see any changes to pulseaudio in Karmic that I
feel should have fixed it. I may do some more testing with the original
pulseaudi

that it honours the resize_with_right_button gconf key. This solves some
