Noticed this the other day and verified after applying all updates on
mythbuntu 9.10.
The name of the song that is displayed in the lower left corner in the
main mythmusic screen (right below the small visualization box) is not
updated if a song switch happens while I am in f
I am not sure that the original bug is still what we are experiencing
here. There is no longer a kernel Oops - the kernel appears to
repeatedly bring up and tear down the USB interface with the modem.
This makes the modem completely unusable by network-manager or any other
app.

On Karmic i386 (up to date as of 10/25/09) with a Foxconn Atom
barebones. After logging in to gnome, I have a lockup within 5 seconds
of a compiz effect, 3d effect (screensaver or other 3d app) appearing on
the screen. Removing compiz from the system and disabling 3d
screensavers avoids the lockup.

I installed Karmic AMD64 RC on a 4GB USB pendrive.
The LiveCD booted Xorg with no problem, but after install on the pendrive
during the boot process the kernel doesn't load nvidia driver and in the
Xorg.log is the following error (EE) open /dev/fb0: No such file or directory
Problem is that the new lm-sensors package is only part of it. In my
case for example I'm using snmpd for the values and snmpd is still
linked against the older version of lm-sensors, therefore I don't have
any way to access the values anymore.

I see this also, though sometimes even in the live session, I do not see
the black rectangle. When I do see it, holding the mouse over it seems
to make it sometimes reappear until you move the mouse away. Also, I

I agree whole heartedly! The official 2.0 release was 10-27-09. From
what I've read, SeaMonkey 1.1xx will receive bug fixes for a time and
then languish into obscurity.
In any event, the most current is 2.0 and I believe it should be
included in Ubuntu ASAP. Hopefully I'll be able to get it via Ka

It theoretically makes fullscreen applications run faster but with a
proper driver there is basically zero overhead from compositing (so
called "zero copy texture_from_pixmap") so it isn't necessary anymore
unless your driver has issues.
