Since I have no bluetooth devices at all on my server, I wanted to
remove all bluetooth related packages. Using synaptic, I could remove
all of the bluetooth packages except libbluetooth3. It threaten to
remove evolution, which kinda blows my mind.

Using Brazilian/ABNT2 keyboard. Everything works fine until you open
another tab/window. Then, the characters like ã,é,ê, etc are displayed
as ~a, 'e, ^e etc. They work fine on the other windows. They only
stop working on *the first* window/tab.

I'm experiencing an issue with similar symptoms (enter password at boot,
the drive unlocks but then nothing happens). I think my problem might
be caused by changes to initramfs-tools that occurred after you reported
your bug, however. Just so I can be sure that my problem is different

I'm running Jaunty with nVidia driver 190.18.03. This is still an issue:

My workaround is to add my user to the video group.

In Alpha 5 errors are fixed. I got installation running the end, but
after installing grub2 I got "syntax error" message and command line. If
this is different bug you can close this. Thank you!

Someone else has run into this problem as well and appears to have been
able to resolve it by removing one or more of the packages, but
unfortunately we
OK--I did not do the workaround & did do the update to grub.I can
confirm that the time to grub menu went down by about 50%--in other
words, from 4~5 minutes to about 2~3 minutes, so the update "improved"
the respond time at least a bitstill not very good, but better than
it was.

looks like that is where the problem is.
