I think the bug is with PulseAudio, not with Firefox. I have the same
problem with Wine/Steam/Steam games hogging my sound and only giving it
back when I exit Steam. Steam happens to load on Startup and is one of

I experience the same problem with karmic, even with WPA2-PSK disabled.
Is there maybe some sort of power-management that causes this problem? Still

BTW this system is set up to triple-boot into XP, Ubuntu, and FreeBSD
7.1. I just set up Xorg and Gnome on the FreeBSD partition - and the
vesa driver on that behaves the same way - the system locks

Hi, thanks for the bug report. Upstream has stopped focusing on 0.21
based reports in preparation for a 0.22 release later this year. Can
you please try to see if this bug is reproducible on 0.22? If it is, we
can try to forward this information to the bug upstream to get the right
eyes focused

You shouldn't have mythtv-database installed on a frontend only machine.
It's intended for backends. I'd recommend removing it. Unexpected
behaviors (as above) will happen otherwise.
I'm going to close this bug as Won't Fix for that reason.
