Ever since I got an eGalax touchscreen and installed Intrepid, one problem I
always had was two folds:
- I need a keyboard to even be able to calibrate it, because an "enter" is
required
- No matter how I calibrate, the vertical direction on the screen is always
inverted.
I do agree that skype package is not maintained by the Ubuntu team but my
microphone problem applies to all audio applications and nobody has so far
proposed anything to either :

Daniel RE what you said about the problems with the default resample-
method = value on certain hardware, surely there is a possible solution
that the install should query what hardware there is and optimally
default the value to be correct? Whats happening currently is that audio
out of the box is

I have a m4v file that plays fine in ffplay and used to play in vlc
before I upgraded intrepid->jaunty. (It plays without sound in mplayer;

Please try the following steps:
1) the following command into terminal: "lshal -m > lshal.log.txt"
2) unplug then plug in the AC adapter
3) attach lshal.log.txt to the bug report. This may be a problem with
HAL/pm-utils.
