I had made a fresh install of kubuntu without formatting my / drive.
Then I got these errors when I ran ntfs-config. Followed the above
procedure (i.e. deleting the particular folders) and then running ntfs-
config. I am running Jaunty.

I should add that the solution I mentionned in the bug report (adding
BusID "PCI:1:0:0" to xorg.conf) worked only the first time. After that,
the computer entered a reboot loop, restarting at the time X should have

as, for me, gnome integrated launcher is a mess [no tab completion], I
tried to use "gmrun", which is really faster, nicer and so on.
But I have exactly the same behavior using gmrun or shortcuts ! NO env, NO

I just tried manually adding Mathias' latest change. That also seems to
solve the problem for me. (This was not a full re-install with that
patch - just me with vim reverting the old patch and adding that patch.
I hope I haven't made any mistakes :)
