from where it is supposed to be located.

You mentioned /usr/share/openoffice, but it looks like you moved
/usr/lib/openoffice instead... is that what you did? If so did you
symlink it back the correct location properly? Because it looks like you
did not from the output of the error message.

I'm inclined to agree with you about it being a kernel problem, which is
why I blacklisted my wireless driver in the first place. I would have
checked dmesg by now, except that my first reaction to the problem was
always to reboot, and it never occurred to me to check my logs after the
fact. Fortu
K. There are a number of compiz focus bugs, so I did not attempt to
attach this report to another bug.
I did change the 'Affects' classification to 'Compiz' so that those devs
will have a greater chance of seeing this report.

Just updated to the beta 9.04 version of Ubuntu. Amarok wouldn't play
mp3's even though I had libxine1-ffmpeg installed. The problem I found
was that phonon-backend-xine didn't install. After I installed
everything worked perfectly.
I didn't download the live cd to update... used 'update-manager -

Thanks for your debdiff. However it looks like it is based on
soundconverter 1.3.2, and not 1.4.1-0ubuntu1 which is the version in the
Ubuntu archive.
In any case, Jaunty is now in FinalFreeze, so soundconverter updates
won't be made until Karmic.
