I suggest you try alternative firmware versions as I was able to get the driver
to be stable with 1.2.1.34. You can find the available firmware versions by
looking in the readme file in /lib/firmware/acx/README.txt. You then set the
firmware version by adding a line to the /etc/mod
I've tried enabling the OpenGL video output in xorg.conf as well as
selecting it as output type in vlc. There is still tearing, it doesn't
seem to improve.
On a good note, I have built, installed and set up the RadeonHD free
xorg driver (v1.2.4) and video playback is superb. Unfortunately, that

I think I have the same issue. I just noticed that some bookmarks I
added are not being stored in "unsorted bookmarks" and therefore they
disappear when i reload a new FF session? I thought I was being
forgetful, but I just checked this. This seems to be happening only
recently - maybe since 3.0.7
Debian backported this change into lenny. Jaunty is not affected as
it's using 5.0.75 by default. Should this be moved to the intrepid
backport project?

Ok I finished downloading alpha-5 and then I did the rsync. I burned the iso
to cd-rw, booted from the cd, selected English, removed splash and quiet from
the command line and pressed enter. About 2 or 3 seconds into the boot the
screen went from text to graphical text. Once the system fully

I'm having trouble making it happen now that I want to. It's almost as
if it's doomed to happen from the start sometimes, and other times it
doesn't happen at all. It sometimes happens when scrolling up and down
through a long connected users list when I'm searching for someone. I'll
