This still exists on jaunty/8.10 with all updates installed to date.
sudo mount -t devpts devpts /dev/pts is still required after reboot to access
gnome-terminal, konsole etc.
I wonder if shm is configured properly, because on some apps I get (those using

OK - the problem seems to be that the folder created for the settings to be
saved in (.gconfd/apps/evolution/mail/format) was created with access by root

I see the same behavour when I try to hibernate using either the
shutdown button, or the laptop key combo (Fn F12 for me) with a Lenovo

It just happend to me, a minute or so after logging in. I hadn't even
opened Nautilus and wasn't looking at thumbnails of videos. The only
program I hade opened after restarting my computer was digiKam. This on
a fully updated Jaunty.

Once I boot into fresh KDE on kubuntu 9.04 and logout it works well. It
takes me back to kdm. But when I configure new plasmoid-network-manager
to talk to a wireless network. It invokes kwallet etc. and then if I try
to logout then it does not work. After pressing logout once.

Intrepid host, Debian etch and sid guests, and possibly other guests.
I've now converted all my guests to use virtio, and things seem to work
better, or at least "apt-get upgrade" no longer stalls if there's more
than one or two packages. I am currently running the kvm from your PPA
that I download
