I'm also experiencing this problem with pidgin. It randomly segfaults,

I have same thing. its expected to work if you System > shut down than
it gives dialog with restart shutdown log out ect... you hit shut down
or restart the gdm comes up and you have to shut down restart from
there.

The update fixed the issue for me, too.
I had the problem before and just disabled the proposed updates. After I saw
that this fix came in I enabled the proposed updates again and it worked fine.
It did remove the libnspr4 package and upgraded the libnspr4-0d package.

The way build.xml is written in batik 1.7, if the JDK is not from Sun,
then JPEG and TIFF transcoders are not built. So it is loss of
functionality.
I suggest we get the package build first and then I can investigate
build with GCJ/OpenJDK. I hope we will reach a conclusion on the curren

reinserting my SD card around five times finally makes Hardy
mount/recognize it - it consistently fails the previous four times. It's

Yes, during the upgrade procedure I had to kill the localdef processes a
few (3 or 4) times.
The upgrade tool displayed dialog boxes telling me that some packages
could not be installed due to (broken?) dependencies. After clicking
