I've attached the Crash Report. In my initial Bug Description, I
included parts of the Crash Report (the Crash Report is over 9MB) & the
Backtrace.
Thunderbird works fine, until I try to 1) Send a new email or 2) Reply
to an email & send.
I am able to Compose an email with no issue.

Yes. Its when the application window is in full screen.
The window system commands (i.e. minimize, maximize, close) lock up.
This occurs out of the box with Ubuntu Feisty (i.e. no software updates,
Nvidia 7800 graphics card, compiz enabled)

it wasn't there in breezy, neither was it there in dapper...I'm
installing the server edition for quite some time, and it had to be
downloaded from the archives, which is not the cd-archive.

Nvidia disable the reinitialisation code in their video BIOS after boot.
Since that's the only way we can reinitialise the video without using
the binary nvidia driver, graphics can't be reinitialised. Fixing this
requires nvidia to document the sequence needed to reinitialise the
graphics hardware
I was talking to Jeroen but if you have the 100.14.11 driver and have a
compiz crash lock your whole system then the driver is to blame for the
system lockup. This crash appears to have something to do with session
management and the ccp plugin.

I can confim that the patch proposed by Chris (1000 thanks) worked for the
audio of my shiny new laptop, a toshiba U305-S5077. Audio reproduces well.
Unfortunately, the mic level is really low. This laptop has a built in
mic/camera, maybe there is some inconsistence with this. If you think it's
reporter cannot reproduce anymore.

On one machine that has just been upgraded from edgy to feisty,
rhythmbox no longer works, and it seems to be gstreamer's fault. Here is
