In 7.04, the linmodem/winmodem drivers aren't particularly difficult to
install (I imagine, since I never got that far), but all the information
from www.linmodem.org and the gzip file that I needed to wget according
to the help files are inaccessible without internet access.

I was wrong: sha1 didn't solved it really. I now have all modules loaded that i
need (new ones loop, cbc and blkcipher) were missing and now it works one day
and the other day not.

I saw the "Unable to identify CD-ROM format." problem when trying to use
a PC magazine cover DVD on my laptop running feisty's 2.6.20-15-generic
kernel. Rather than downgrade, try the following:
sudo mount -t udf /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0/
where "/dev/scd0" is your CDROM device and "/media/cdrom0"
I am not so sure it is strictly a kde issue. I just did a test install
of pclinuxos 2007 and all the kde ->samba configuration tools are
behaving as they should. So maybe it is a kubuntu->kde issue.

incorrectly set up and I was attempting to access the database
incorrectly.
I reinstalled and reconfigured postgre and the attached patch works

backported. Intermediate fix is to try and not upload 1088+ files at one
time, you can do them in chunks. With the 3.0.13 release in Feisty, I
