I was opening three BitchX sessions at the same time: two encrypted ones
to server A using BitchX-ssl, and one unencrypted one to server B using
plain bitchx.
It is not clear to me which of them crashed (though apparently it was
one of the BitchX-ssl ones) because afterwards,
are we sure this is a network-manager thing and not a GUI thing.. My bug

My wired network shows as not connected. When the mouse hovers over the icon it
says "No network connection".
The connection is of course established using dhcp.
If I click on the icon and choose the first option "wired network", the icon
changes to the normal Wired network connection icon.

On my Feisty system just updated from the main server this bug is still
present. I will try some of the workarounds when I get a chance.
Pereira, please reconsider the 'Fix Released' status of this bug.

I tried installing Ubuntu Feisty Beta (Xubuntu edition), but I just get
