I have a GeForce 4200 Ti and when I installed the 10.3 update and
restarted X, the Xorg log gave only the error "No devices detected" and
refused to start. Downgrading back to an earlier version (10) allowed
the X server to start up nor
Thanks Sam... I know its probably quite annoying for distributors, but I
plan on releasing another bugfix release later today...but I think
better to have the current release as stable as possible even if that
means making releases every week (although hopefully not :)

Same issue here, Dell Latitude D620 with an Nvidia Quadro NVS 110M video
card and using the 'nvidia' driver. Downgrading the package to the
previous version allowed GDM to start up, but now the screen goes blank
after the gnome splash screen, after which X crashes to GDM after about

Also attached my generic xorg.conf, created a clean one just to be sure
it wasn't anything in my Xgl'd setup. Switching between the nv and
nvidia drivers also yeilded no improvement.

If someone gets here because the machine keeps detecting the disabled
video card and not the external one, something good to know is that
typing the "live xforcevesa" as the boot command would at least make the
Live CD to boot.

I've had this too. I've got ATI X800SE and im running dapper x86_64. I tried
both fglrx driver and radeon ('ati' driver has never worked with my card since
day 1).
I dropped back down to 1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10 and it's up again no problem.

I've done iwconfig and under the entry wlan0 it says "no wireless

There is no representations for applications in the Ubuntu GUI. There

uses cdrecord but thats why im asking for the errors if it is still a

I can confirm. I had to downgrade it to 1.0.2-0ubuntu10.
It seems that the server did not find the AGP card, as it scanned only
PCI devices 0with number 00:xx:x.
