I can't replicate this with Dapper's 0.43-4, and in fact I've never
noticed this with earlier versions of Ubuntu & Inkscape - and I use
Inkscape daily, and do lots of text work in it.

Try running nm-applet --sm-disable, if you aren't already. nm-applet in
gnome likes to add itself to the session as restart, so it'll get
restarted automatically, and it doesn't make sure it's the only instance
running.

Hi William,
I think I figured out what was wrong...although I'm a little new to linux
and bug reporting.
I was manually creating partition for my installation, and I only allocated
1gigs for /usr partition which of course was not enough space, thus the
installation crashed.

Nope, I haven't received another email that causes that crash. I've
still not managed to upgrade to Dapper yet - bandwidth issues - so

That must be the problem. I built /usr/local/bin/python from source, and
that's the python displayed with "which python". I find that
/usr/local/bin/python -c "import gtk" yields an import error, whereas

Ok - the problem was my fault. The USB device has a connector that does
not fasten very securely. If it is partially in, the device will receive
power, but not transmit data to the machine. I haven't had any problems
since noticing this.

This isn't actually a bug but a problem with MP3 licencing. Ubuntu

In edgy mediawiki is provided for security updates only. mediawiki1.5
