Well, I don't know if this will complicate the issue at all, but I'm
having the same problem with a card using the Ti ACX100 chipset 0_o. If
I use NM version 0.5.1, then I have no issues and everything runs pretty
smoothly, if I use version 0.6.1 or higher, it doesn't.

Well it happened again! Tonight (6-16-6), Ubuntu installed a bunch of
updates which left me with an unbootable machine (after suggesting that
I reboot).
The firmware hack fixed the problem, but why does this happen? When the
module acx gets loaded, it clearly says it isn't compatible.

A slave hard drive (hdb) contains a folder. Open nautilus and try to
send the folder to the trash. The folder gets deleted, but nautilus
crashes AND THE TRASH IS EMPTY, meaning the folder is lost in

My T42 doesn't even go to sleep fully. The screen blanks, hard disk
spins down, and the little moon LED lights up, but the fan never stops
spinning, and I can press Caps Lock and see the LED light up. The moon

Thanks for the report. I can't reproduce this bug on my system. Maybe
the translation has been fixed in the recent language-pack update. The
mentioned strings are in package nautilus which has been updated on May
22.

I believe the problem here is due to poor rounding of floating point
values to integers. It is truncated not rounded. This happens when the
volume_step is too small - it can never get the volume up to the next
notch because it is rounded down back to the current volume. Turning the
volume down work
There is 99,999% chance that fix for Lexmark printers will get into
dapper-updates :)

Windows don't support IPP sharing. Maybe HP software did something like
that (which I doubt).
My guess is that someone disabled IPP on that printer. Almost all
network printers can be shared via IPP protocol.

I spoke too soon, the upgrade from 6/16 fix it for me. I had to wait for
"gnome vfs" to be update for the changes to happen.
I guess the desired effect is to not display the windows partition or
any other partitions. I kind of liked having the windows partition been
shown except for the name that
