You don't need sudo always. try without sudo first. If it complains
about permission error, then add sudo.
However, the solution to your problem is this
rm -rf YOUR_FOLDER
rm only delete files. To delete folders you need -r that is, recursive
flag on. And -f means do not ask for confirmation.

Well I don't suggest anyone to use the 'rm' (I actually had some
nightmare with this command).
- Install Ubuntu tweak < http://ubuntu-tweak.com/ >
- Open Ubuntu Tweak
- Go to Package Cleaner
- Clean all the unnecessary packages
Or you can run the following command:
apt-get autoremove

i have found 10gb files in /home/.trash-0 . which i had deleted and cleared
from trash also. those are here. i used 'sudo nautilus' and from there i
tried to delete these again. but nothing happens and these comes in
terminal
