Hey Martin,
Adobe seem to have changed the flash archive for linux so as the
md5sums are no longer the same.
To install manually see:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=3013930&postcount=3
Which contains these instructions:
sudo apt-get remove flashplugin-nonfree
rm ~/.mozilla/plugins/*flash*

Just a suggestion but would it be feasible to add the next meeting
time to the email footer where the list information currently is?
I have a tendency to forget my head at times. It would also require
someone to update the footer with each passing meeting. I saw it when

This is a know problem with the keyboard shortcut editor, I'm not sure
how to fix it, but you can get around it by editing the gconf values
by running gconf-editor and browsing to
/apps/metacity/global_keybindings and editing the values you require
in there.
There are also pairs of run_command_1-12

Hey guys,
Just a quick note for those interested, I upgraded my laptop from
gutsy-i386 to hardy-amd64 (clean install).
Firefox brings up a plugin search box on a flash supporting page and
installs flash rather easily.
I have not tested java support in firefox.

Hey Guys and Gals.
As the title suggests, anybody know of some good sites with reference
material for using Linux/Ubuntu in SME's?
Thinking mainly along the lines of best practices for:
- Mail
- Directory Services
- Knowledge base's
- VoIP
- Virtualisation
- Accounting
Especially for mixed envir

I guess I'm going to pipe in on this too. I'd been a die hard fan of
VMware since I was a windows only guy (admittedly 9 years ago). But
since testing out Xen and KVM I have found place for virtualisation in
business use. VMware is a very nice polished product, but I have
always found installing VM

I've found Glom rather handy at work as an alternative to MS Access.
But can anybody recommend a web based equivalent? It does not have to
do gui based form designing and the like (although it would be nice),
just something for putting a quick and easy frontend on some MySQL
db's without having to

In my experience it would be unusual for any of the application
folders under your home folder not to be platform independent, unless
they were dealing with something execuitable. Most of the time it is
the same code in - in this case - Thunderbird that reads the config
files both on 32 and 64bit,

Hi everybody.
Yes I am top posting. This is not in response to any particular comment or
person.
I make this post very reluctantly and have not contributed to the fire yet
as it's all so draining and I really don't have the time for debates that I
just don't have a strong enough opinion on.

Hi Harry,
Would you care to share some more details on the 'Next "G"' device you
are trying to get working?
I have a few Telstra Next G Wireless Broadband devices I use at work.
They are all ZTE MF636 devices. We also use a few tethered mobile all
through Network Manager too.
The devices I use ar
