Looks more consinstent with the menu opened...
Is just a photo editing or you edited the gtk theme?
In my opinion the actual menuitem-selected-colour is too pink. I thik we

I've updated the page with a second button scheme, and a studio style as
well. It should look less vista-ish on the second button style.

Quite nice. I would vote for this one by default. But I agree with

Hi,
Looks nice, but you should provide a mockup inside existing them to get
the idea. Also, don't forget the usability issue (white text over light
orange). Human progress bar is a shame for this :(
