If the default option is 6.2 for newbies why is it 7.0 displayed on typo3.org as well as the default option for download. This is turning people off as they first wrestle for hours or days maybe never to discover what the stable version is.

wilkommen bei Typo3.
Wie auch schon Michael Gesagt hat. Ist 6.2 die Interessante Version für
neueinsteiger und alle die auf Stabilität setzten.
Für Long Term Support Versionen gibt es mindestns 1,5 Jahre Bugfixes. Und
mindestesn ein halbesjahr übergangs zur nächsten LTS version.

Es sind noch nicht viele Distribution Packages und Extensions auf TYPO3
CMS 7.0 lauffaehig (ich sehe z.B. derzeit nur 24 Extensions im TYPO3
Extension Repository, bei denen angegeben wurde, dass diese
7.0-komaptibel sind).
Wenn du neu im TYPO3-Thema bist, wuerde ich empfehlen,
