IMO monit is pretty easy to setup and probably your best bet. However you
could get puppet, chef, or cfengine to start processes for you. If you are
feeling adventurous, you could set up something like apache mesos to keep
your tasks running.

I experienced a similar issue with a rather large twisted daemon. I ended
up installing my own signal handler and issued a triggerSystemEvent to stop
the twisted services. I can point you towards my code if you want to
pursue that route.
