Applications. ComboBox seems to open and close a small window on top of the
Application for displaying/selecting the items.
General observation: Whenever a QtQuick related Window is opened and closed in
Unity, Firefox and QtC

not respond. You have to restart the app.

about my Dell XPS 15 which is running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, as follows:
(1) touchpad mouse pointer randomly jumps to the bottom left corner,
which frustratingly can result in the trash application opening up since

It affects Ubuntu-MATE 16.04.1, both 32 and 64bit but it seems to be
more Ubuntu and less MATE for in Mint MATE 18.1 (=16.04.1) this problem
does not occur. At least I have never seen this in Mint. I need right-
ctrl-F1, then right-ctrl F7 (a black screen with blinking cursor
appears) and then righ
Interesting to notice: In Linux Mint MATE the "Live-ISO" understands the
correct sequence Right-crtl-F7 for the desktop and Right-ctrl-F1 for the
first terminal right away, where Ubuntu-MATE does not do so. Any Ctrl-F
other than F1 gives a blank "terminal" with just a cursor and no login
prompt at

Seeing the same on a fresh (as of last week) Xubuntu 16.04 install
(4.4.0-62-generic) with all the latest updates;

The previously posted Juan workaround also worked for me too on the Dell
XPS 15 running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Thank you all. :-)
Patch system first, then do the following fixes posted by Juan and
others (see previous posts).
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-libinput
sudo apt-get remove --purg
Same here on Ubuntu 14.04 after installing google chrome via download
from google website and software manager (not manually adding ppa).

Sorry, cannot come from google chrome because I installed < 48 h ago and
the process already has 344 CPU hours.
