For some reason, killing the bluetoothd process just worked today unlike
previous attempts in the past days. The problem of the headset loosing
connection during a meeting, blocking the bluetooth process and settings
interface, still occurs requiring a restart of the bluetooth service and
the heads
The problem is back. This time I let the restart process wait for
several minutes. See this output.
peddecke@omer:~$ sudo service bluetooth restart
Job for bluetooth.service failed because the control process exited with error
code.
See "systemctl status bluetooth.service" and "journalctl -xe" f
Today I used tasksel to add "lubuntu-desktop" to an "ubuntu-desktop"
installation. Already installed and noticed by tasksel was additionally:
"SSH-Service" and "Print Server".
The installation of "lubunut-desktop" went fine. I logged in to lubuntu-
desktop and now I wanted to remove the "ubuntu-de
Just found this, because I also noticed the debsums error. A quick look in the
changelog finds this:

Oh, I just found the file. It has a different name than suggested in the
changelog:
/usr/lib/sysctl.d/protect-links.conf
And silly me didn't of just checking what sysctl returns for those values set
in there. It's all good:
$ sudo sysctl fs.protected_fifos
fs.protected_fifos = 1
$ sudo sysctl fs
I am using systemd rather than upstart, but the bug is the same: cron
depends on remote-fs.target, autofs depends on remote-fs.target, so they
start together. The result is that the job is run with the working
directory set to /var/spool/cron.
What cron should be waiting for is home directories be
Public bug reported:
See my public question open here:

I'd expect, to see the option "dis/enable wifi" at least when I disconnect from
LAN, (if not regardless on LAN connection).
But I can not see that opt
1. I boot my PC with LAN cable connected. Lan works, but I only see "Enable
networking" when I open the network manager options in the top right corner of
the screen. I guess, the "Enable Wireless" option is disabled deliberately,
while on LAN - which is not the best idea IMHO.
Can't screenshot
I have to correct the information - currently even if I rebooted several
times, the option "Enable Wireless" is not available :-o
