system and I was told "apt install apport", so I did and the
installation went ok.
Problem:
apport then fails on missing dependency python3-launchpadlib
Workaround:
manually install it through apt.

I have 2 laptops, a ASUS and a Lenovo. They both had the issue.
I did a reinstall of Ubuntu 16.04 on the Lenovo keeping the home folder. First

Perfect, the login now works as expected.
I did try changing the password and removing and recreating the password

Currently I coudn't find any Arch's os adapted solution so there is only way to
compile and install the standart www.kernel.org's kernel which is patched or

A workaround is to manually download the nvidia-settings-304 package
from the 12.04 repository and install that, which works okay for me on
14.10 at least.

I'm having similar issues. Following what Fabio mentioned, I think I had
a firewall issue but disabling the firewall was not enough, I needed to
restart the wifi after disabling the firewall. I guess that is the
sequence which addresses the problem for Fabio too.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 23.10 from 23.04. Everything seems to work except
there is no audio output on streaming functions. The external bluetooth
speaker is connected and detected. It is charged and responds to
testing. Just no sound when playing videos or podcasts.

I tried that, but wasn't given the option for "Play HiFi quality Music". Pro
Audio was the only option in the drop down menu. There were some Analog Stereo
options, but they were all unplugged and unavailable.
Any other suggestions?
