the error messages about SAP can be avoided by starting bluetoothd with
the "--noplugin=sap" option.
Since SAP is probably of little use in Ubuntu and since it does not work
anyway,

I installed this package:

from focal-proposed and now this command:
journalctl | grep cloned-mac-address
gives no output. Therefore, the error message is gone.
And of course Wi-Fi still works on my WPA2-protected home network.
