for other devices in the background and sucking up all of the channel

not consume so much bandwidth, or make the query period more context

I think that the mobile network cell triangulation position is not
working in Ubuntu Phone OS.
The position should be really fast (~1 - 5") and I'm thinking that
Ubuntu Phone is waiting for a real GPS position every time.
A good test could be this:
Switching to the software codecs is the right answer as the setup time
of a hardware codec is currently much slower than with an equivalent
software codec. I'd like to do some profiling of the hardware codec

Yeah they do work, but there's changes to the controls that will be
necessary such as not displaying next/previous buttons when has_next()

Give silo 47 a try. I have what should be a fix but I wasn't ever able
to reproduce the issue directly. I refactored mediaCount() to no longer
make a dbus call to retrieve the value so that's why I'm confident this
should fix the issue. Also, make sure that call playlist.clear() when
you start play
Yes I've experienced the same kind of jitter. The volume level is pretty
decent for me, but not the streaming performance. I basically need to be
doing nothing else on my laptop for it to stream without jittering.

@James I don't have any ideas offhand right now without digging further,
but I do know that there indeed is some optimization that is needed for
gstamc-hybris to help with situations like this as well as to greatly
increase the speed of thumbnailing in general. I've got an item on my
team's backlog

backend to work with media-hub (I might be mistaken, would need to check
on this some more). As a workaround, try using the MediaPlayer QML

@Bill: No formal way of doing it yet. I need to add some code to my
GStreamer decoder plugin to return this list (it already gets it from
the Android layer, just needs to export it) to media-hub where media-hub
would present it to a client. I would say for now, put in a static list
of mpeg4 and h26
