Dash is slow to res
For the carousels it seems to be slow when the images are loading. Once
it's loaded it's smooth. So similar symptom to the dash but maybe

Only the first SIM has a data plan, the second SIM is for testing and
only accepts incoming calls.
In system-settings the second SIM was selected. It is not the first time
I notice this. Initially I thought I did a mistake but this time I'm
sure I didn't intentionally select the second SIM.

1) Has this problem always been present for you since upgrading both systems to
utopic?
These systems have been upgraded to Utopic since day 1, but I don't reboot them
very often. I cannot say exactly when ti stopped working but I know my laptop
at least could be shut down successfully with Utop
It happened again today, while switching between apps.

after several minutes, the dash resumed without any intervention from
me, no crash, and unity8 didn't restart. It's now fully operational
without rebooting the phone.
