My bad, I did `cp /usr/lib/x86_64-linux- gnu/guestfs/supermin.d/init.tar.gz{,.orig}` and patched the original archive. However, the *orig file will still be picked up. Along the way, I cleaned everything *.img and .guest* from /var/tmp - not sure if this was necessary. So, with only /usr/lib/x86_

Coincidentally, today as the machine was starting up I saw a password request flash up on tty7 (the graphical interface) between the screen changing from black to colour and before the login manager was displayed. Never noticed that in the 10 weeks the the encrypted partition has been installed.
