My bad, I did `cp /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-
gnu/guestfs/supermin.d/init.tar.gz{,.orig}` and patched the original
archive. However, the *orig file will still be picked up. Along the
way, I cleaned everything *.img and .guest* from /var/tmp - not sure if
this was necessary.
So, with only /usr/lib/x86_
Also affected by the bug. It's annoying, especially since I'm using the
GSM modem only from time to time.

I've seen the prompt on two different machines now. Both machines have two
encrypted disks, one encrypted with a passphrase, the other encrypted with a

Coincidentally, today as the machine was starting up I saw a password
request flash up on tty7 (the graphical interface) between the screen
changing from black to colour and before the login manager was
displayed.
Never noticed that in the 10 weeks the the encrypted partition has been
installed.
Regarding the message during start up, which may be a different issue,

14.10 and updates nautilus, bug the bug is still there... I have two
keyboards, a usb one, and the integrated in the laptop... after two or
three reneames, or creating directories... nautilus fails and keyboard
is not answering...
I did, "killall ibus-daemon" and it worked, without restarting
nautilus... but refresh of firefox and other apps are affected...

I have strongly mixed feelings about installing intel-microcode by default.
Of course it's good to have the latest microcode bugfixes.
What worries me is that Intel provides no release notes at all.
They didn't even put up a warning for the update that disables the TSX

Thanks for the info. I seem to have missed that.
Any idea what else might be running? Or a workaround/fix?
These are pretty standard Ubuntu Desktop machines. And everything
worked fine when I installed them last year. I doubt it's a strange
configuration on my part.

l try disabling the systemd timers and using the cron job instead
to see if that fixes the problem.
FYI I also noticed that the cron job will only run when the system is
on A/C power, whereas the systemd timers do not seem to have any such
check.

Sound works from internal speakers, but does not work when plugging in
