While troubleshooting this together with karni and mzanetti, an
interesting find is in the ubuntu-push client. It seems to restrict the
sound files allowed to be inside /usr/share/xdg.
Could affected people check if they have manually modified what sound
they want to be played back from telegram?
Note that it's already triggered with "calc:" , "result:" ,
"calculator:" and "calculate:".

snaps on my two test systems without using the /etc/fstab workaround,

But I have now risked upgrading my main laptop from 16.10 to 17.04 and it
appears to be working perfectly without the necessity for tweaks or
