I also ran xprop in gdb to see what may be causing the Xmir window to
clsoe and just the simple exit(0) at the end of xprop.c causes it to
close.
Based on the call to XCloseDisplay() and xprop exiting causing Xmir to
close, I'm wondering if Xmir is being too aggressive on cleaning up when
the appl
I'm not sure if Xmir crashes. I ran xprop w/ gdb and it just seems Xmir
exits when the client closes the display. I also don't get any crash
file nor any evidence of a core dump.

Most definitely not the lack of the graphics drivers as I have those
installed on my machine and have a working Unity 8 desktop session.
Another data point is that this doesn't occur when running against
mir_demo_server, but only when running in a Unity 8 desktop session. I

I went ahead and installed qtdeclarative5-qtmir-plugin and qtmir-desktop
from wily-proposed and now the session starts as it should.
I think I'll leave this open until the packages transition out of
-proposed in case someone else runs into this problem and can reference

I'm using the Python API to append entries to the LXC config file. When
I do the following:
container.set_config_item("lxc.mount.auto", "cgroup:mixed")
I get an extra lxc.mount.auto entry in the config file. This is what it

I have been having an issue like this for a little over a week now.

IT appears a recent change was made to the Mahjongg package in which the

As a Unity developer who uses Crossover, I don't see this issue. The
installed apps show up in the Launcher using the icon intended for the
app. For example, I use Quicken Deluxe 2014 w/ Crossover and the
Quicken icon is in the Launcher and when I click on it, Quicken launches
and the icon shows
I watched dbus when I tried logging out of the Unity 8 desktop session
and to my untrained eye, it looks like unity8-dash is not getting killed
as it should which then holds up the rest of the logout.

doesn't support 3D because there is an issue in the video driver which
is failing the loading of OpenGL (the 3D). This is strictly an issue

My opinion is that even though this fix doesn't fix every use case, it
does fix many behaviors and it really is the best we can do in Unity.

Hi,
This bug is affecting the gatekeeper testing for releasing libautopilot-
qt[1] and holding up any possible release of this code. (and will affect
any other up coming test runs too).
This is a test run without the testing silo so it's not the new libautopilot-qt
causing the crash.
